Denys J. Loeffelbein

As a specialist in oral and maxillofacial surgery, Dr. Loeffelbein completed his studies in dentistry in addition to his studies in human medicine. After completing his residency in Bochum and Munich, he initially worked as a senior physician at the University Hospital Rechts der Isar in Munich, until a position as senior physician at the Helios Klinikum München West in Pasing followed in spring 2016. Since May 2017, Dr. Loeffelbein has been working there as head physician of the Clinic for Oral and Maxillofacial Plastic Surgery. As part of a two-year additional specialist training, he also acquired additional qualifications in plastic surgery and the title of specialist dentist for oral surgery.

Dr. Loeffelbein was particularly influenced by his various research and work stays in the USA, India, Brazil and Vietnam as well as his work there with newborns and children with cleft lip and palate. In the course of these activities, he learned a special treatment technique from the USA, known as nasoalveolar molding (NAM), which he brought back to Munich and implemented and further developed as part of a research group at the University Hospital Rechts der Isar.

He and Dr. Daniel Lonic founded MCLINIC together in 2016.
